Happy 25th Birthday Maple Leaf!

Twenty five years ago on September 4th 1994, Maple Leaf International School opened its doors at 7 Sweet Briar Road, St.Clair. This school was the dream of a few exceptional people who sought an alternative to the traditional educational programme offered in Trinidad and Tobago; Tessa Sutton, Barbara Bovell and Lanny Steinburg.

There were 36 students enrolled in Grades 1-6. Jim Henry, a retired principal, was hired to be the Principal and staff from both Canada and locally, were hired. Keith “Ollie” Oliver was hired as our security guard and is still employed with the school today.

Thank you to all the teachers, staff, administration, parents and friends of Maple Leaf who have contributed over the years making our school what it is today. Happy 25th birthday Maple Leaf!
